The motors are started for the first time :-)

Have now calibrated the ESCs, connected the LEDs via a step down board and power switch so I can turn tmen on/off via the radio.

Next step will be to connect the OSD and FPV equipement.

Looks good that!  I';m building a t810 at the moment too, although I';ve not got too far at the moment.  I';ve gone for the MN3510-360kv motors coupled with 25A escs, and 15" props.  The idea is to keep the weight down, but still have enough grunt to loft a Nex5 on a gimbal.  The less mass to loft, the more efficient everything is!

How and where did you mount your ESCs?  I can';t see them under the motor mounts....

Cheers
Andy

I am about to embark on a 960build so will no doubt be keeping and eye on how you get on as they are basically the same frame I believe :-)

Connected a 3dr radio telemetry kit today, didn';t buy a original kit from 3DR so I had to modify the cables a little bit. Nice to be able to do rest of the configuration without having to connect via USB

I';ts going really slowly right now, I';m struggling with the Alexmos controller. It seems to work at home but as soon as I test it outside I have vibrations. I have olso ordered another controller for the gimbal.

The build continues, have mounted a PDM today, I need to buy a second step down module so I';ll have one for 12v and one for 5v then I can solder all the cables.

I have finally soldered all ESCs, power cables and step down modules to the PDM, need to measure it so I don';t have a shortage somewhere and the I can mount the ESCs permanently.

Not very much new... have uploaded Arducopter 3.2 to the pixhawk and configured the 6-pos switch so it';s working fine now, a calibration and a curve to tune PWM output was needed.

The build has been really slow the last few weeks, to much at work :-(
But I have finally had time to configure some more and mount everything so it should be time for a maiden flight the coming weekend.

Good to see your build back on the move. I';m also struggling with too much time at work to get mine finished, but at least it pays for these "essential" parts.
