I have just got mine as well Allen..

I followed some of the info in this video ..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6NgtBUIQPbM

You really need some ND filters I am finding.. to keep the aperture in the sweat spot.. I am using Aperture Priority.

Just got a firmware update for the GH4 Zenmuse Gimbal.. so out testing this morning..

If I have it in A mode when I yaw with the zenmuse even really slowly there is a kind of an annoying drag and when I have it in shutter mode the camera really struggles to get light. It';s driving me nuts and I';ve got a very demanding client! He';s not bothered about the 4K, 1080p is fine but I';m really struggling to get a nice sharp crisp picture! I already watched that YouTube clip and he says to put it in manual but there was no focus (even in auto focus). I';ve changed the frequency to 25,000 which allows more 4k options and 1080p which I';ve tried them all! Cheers al

Sounds like motion blur. You need to up your shutter speed to at least 100. Get some ND filters so you have more control of the exposure and don';t forget ISO as part of setting your exposure.

Also if you';re just shooting 1080 try 50 or 60fps.

Cheers Pete, I know a little about multirotors but not so much about cameras so forgive my questions! Am I right in thinking 24fps is normal and anything higher is slow mo? So would 50 fps like you suggested not be slo mo? I noticed it went up to 96fps which I';m guessing is really slo mo? Cheers al

Allen, i guess in old money you';d be correct, however digital cameras and software codecs render shutter speeds interchangeable, in that yes, you could use the higher speeds for slow motion of course, or simply for sharper, higher resolution footage at ';normal'; playback, at least that';s my understanding anyhow.
You also need hefty processing platforms for high resolution videography, bucket loads of ram, multi core processors and ssd hard disks.

Hope you get the results you';re after.

Hi Allen,
It all gets a bit historical I';m afraid. 24fps is the rate film is captured and PAL (UK Standard) is at 50hz so can be captured at 25p/50p or 50i and NTSC (USA standard) is at 60hz so 30p/60p or 60i.

Since you';re in the UK 50p is your best bet unless you';re going for a film look. 50p just gives you better quality but doesn';t play in slow-mo, however it does give you more flexibility if you want to slow things down in post.

Thanks guys I';ll have a play around tomorrow
