BUSINESS PARTNER WANTED

I hope this is ok to post here. Please remove if not...

Based in the south of UK, I am looking for a partner to help push forward my aerial business. Selling has never been my strong point.

I am fully qualified with PFAW (also have pilot';s licence) and video editing skills are improving at a rate of knots.
I am either looking for someone with their own business and/or relevant flying licence or someone that can sell the concept of aerial filming while I carry out the flying/editing.

I have been given the opportunity to tender for a large national contract. I have already carried out work for the company and they were very impressed. But I may miss out on this order due to both being new and being a one man business with very little proven record.

So if anyone feels they are in the same boat or just looking for someone else on board, PLEASE PM ME.

Cheers
Rich

Hi Rich
Where in the south are you ?
I am not the person on this ocassion that can join you but i might know someone with a plane and PPL that is looking to get into AP . He is looking to get UAV certified but this has potential for mutual benefit.
Regards
keith

Flying for hire and reward on a PPL is illegal.  You need a Commercial Pilots rating for that.
Let's be careful out there.
SAFETY is.. NO accident.

Thanks for that Ross, especially the bold bit. But can you tell me what you are on about please?

He means the person that Desmoboy may be recommending is not who you want to be talking to as he doesn';t have a relevant flying license. At best, he could be a salesman but any flying/AP related activity would be illegal.
A new way of buying and selling RC Gear.

Don';t get too excited lads and don';t jump to conclusions.

The person i am thinking of gets asked, because he has access to a plane, to provide AP . He realises he is missing out on an income and has looked at UAV based AP.

As it happens he is a salesman in his day job, can';t tell you what he sells, i don';t know.

So calm down and do not always expect the worst.

Ross

The original post mentioned a PPL.  A Private Pilots Licence  usually taken as a full sized aeroplane licence.
That post appears to imply a private plane and pilot with a Private Pilot Licence  for use of a commercial enterprise.

Maybe it should be re written in the correct context  (i.e a UAV licence for commercial use) if it is not referring to a full size aircraft op....

Well, if we are getting picky I never mentioned PPL at all. (thanks for telling us what it stands for though).

I only mentioned pilot';s licence as I was showing off lol. Not because I will be using a Piper Warrior or Cessna to take aerials. This forum is for multirotors as far as I am aware. And that is what this thread is about.

Thanks also for the advice on how to word it. Took me ages to get it how I wanted and now it seems everyone has misunderstood me (well, just you actually).

Advice always accepted though. Must try harder.  ::)

Richard i will ask the question, as with most ventures it will probably not go anywhere but you never know. The stars may just align.

We are talking about Hertfordshire by the way.

Thanks Desmo. Had tons of interest so pretty chuffed. Luckily only one thought I was talking about flying a 747!

I am in Hampshire so perhaps not quite as close as needed but we can chat.

Hi Richard
Sorry it took so long and i don';t have a positive outcome. The guy i had in mind would rather, if he gets anywhere at all, like to go it alone.
Regards and good luck
