Have managed to nab a tbs disco secondhand with the following setup
Sunnysky 2212 980v motors  10x4.5 props and it came with a 2.2 4s battery
Its running APM FC
As I am a beginner to RC , I have been flying a cheap Syma X5c to get used to control etc after having realised after crashing a QR X350 a few times :( that i needed a bit more practice
What I want to do is get the disco  set up so it is slow flying to begin with  , what would be a good setup prop wise and battery wise to achieve this ??   :notworthy:

hmmm i';d maybe think about dropping to a 3S battery to dumb it down a bit with those props, 8x4.5 props will slow it down a bit but it will be more of a handful i think than the 3S with 10" props as the 3S battery will give you a slower spinning prop which would probably help.

i don';t have TBS disco but i run a similar kind of setup.

Point and click.

Monkey see, Monkey do.

On 4S you will need 9x4.5 props, I';ve used the same setup on a F450, make sure after a couple of full throttle climbs Motors and esc';s are not getting hot, If you want to stick with the larger props you will need to go down to 3S.

Thanks for the quick replies - luckily I have 5 2.2 3s batts so will try with them  :notworthy:

Yeah I use 10';s on a 3S 450 quad with those motors and it should be fine.
