Its amazing really - this past few days we';ve been debating "professional" misuse of drones and then this chump comes along ... I don';t know how one of those people didn';t stamp the drone into the ground!

That is by far the worst example I';ve seen and flouts pretty much every rule put in place to protect us and members of the public. How no one was seriously injured is a miracle. Also a miracle is how no one ';had a word'; with the pilot(and yes, I use that term very loosely) and pointed out the error of his ways!

Despite building these things myself and knowing how much effort goes into them etc, and knowing how attached people get even to the ready to fly ones after they';ve been flying them for a while; If someone was flying one around a busy street like that and deliberately crashed into me I would definitely stomp on it.

If they complained THEN i';d go to the police.

The only problem with a direct report to the CAA is that they are very likely to over react as the FAA have done or are trying to do in the states. However if the report came from a fellow flier, as here, I suppose it at least demonstrates that the sport itself is unhappy with the way of things. Hopefully that will result in dialogue instead of unilateral stupidity.
