I can';t see if this question has been asked before but what are the different methods used for taking images while in the air. What are the different methods of shutter release and which are the most reliable? Are these any good:

Many thanks in advance,

Depends on the camera

Although i am not brave enough to put it in the air yet i have a Nikon DSLR and have built a PIC  based unit that plugs into the cable remote shutter socket.
Allows for a 3 position Rc operation to first focus and then operate the shutter. Much better i think than the led taped to the front of a camera nonsense.

One day i might even be brave enough to use it !!

I use a strattosnapper 2.  It works with loads of different cameras and also has the ability to learn now remotes.  Can also use a wired connection verse the LED.
