Hi all. Had a mix of stills and gopro footage on an sad card that my mate chucked in his MacBook to check the footage. Put the card back into the gopro and it said sd err.
In the PC it says the card is not formatted and running chkdsk in command prompt said it was a RAW and could not be read.
I have tried several recovery programs which identify the files but it does not seem to recover the gopro mp4 files. Most photos are fine.
I have also formatted the card but still can';t recover the video
Has anyone found something that recovers the video files?
Thank you
Phil

Try this

http://www.z-a-recovery.com/  I sued to used it a lot for USB drives.
Even after a format you can get stuff back from solid state due to the way it stores files,  However they can be degraded.

Sounds like the cards was removed while a read/write operation was happening.

I have a macbook pro at home and it';s fairly notorious for deciding that it can';t read the card, of course the card is unusable until it has been reformatted.

Have resorted to using a £1 card reader from Poundland
