Hi All

I was just wondering if anyone else here has had any of their Hobbyking orders sent by Malaysia post and have tracking with a status like this:

19 Jun 2014   2233   Item sent to LANGLEY HWDC   MPC PMIH (KLIA)

Can anyone give me a rough idea of how long it will take to get into my hands through this route?

My last order from HK was using the "UK Direct Channel" ( think that';s what it was called ) and it took 2 weeks. They did provide a tracking number, but it turns out that this was only the signed for tracking number and therefore was not updated until it actually got delivered. So no use for tracking it!!

Yeah 2 weeks is roughly consistent with UK channel direct. Sometimes I have experienced faster times though.

Its the registered air mail that heads to Langley HWDC that seems to be the problem. My last registered package was sent to London and took about 14 days to arrive. I have been reading on other forums that some guys have even raised Paypal disputes...

shaun

No, no, no, no....ar$3!

RC007399171MY  26 Jun 2014 1457 Item sent to LANGLEY HWDC MPC PMIH (KLIA)

Was naively hoping it would be arriving any day now!!!!

Anyone know what the holdup is?  Is it because stuff is being held at HWDC or just en-route to HWDC via the slowest transport available?

Cheers

Simple answer is if you don';t want to wait then use EMS. I have never had an issue with registered post usually 10 - 14 days.

Malaysia post have had some issues with ';dangerous goods'; which has help up all shipments sent with them, more than likely still have a back log of stuff.

I ordered some stuff at on 31st May, it never left till 11th

11-Jun-2014    1119    Item sent to LONDON    MPC PMIH (KLIA)

I opended pay pal disputes for both, one came the day after so I closed the dispute, the other still hasnt arrived and I got my money back and re-ordered from the uk now its in stock.  i only did this as they seem to have sat in limbo for over a week at their end.

Last time i got stuff it arrived in days from Mayaysia.

It worth noting that the tracking number will work on the royalmail site,...well sort of

It would seem that from 1/1/2015.  Lith batteries will only be allowed to be sent by cargo planes.
The cost of postage could be horrendous as most are courier operated  (DHL, UPS  FEDEX. Cathay Pacific Cargo......etc.)

As it is..Lith batteries are banned by ALL  airlines NOW and Royal Mail, unless they are incorporated in equipment.  Weird rules but that';s what they say  (ICAO/IATA/Royal Mail.)

How these batteries still come in the mail I do not know......
Let's be careful out there.
SAFETY is.. NO accident.

As HK said to me on Monday, registered air mail can take 14 to 39 BUSINESS DAYS. To you and me, that just under 8 weeks.

I just (weekend) ordered from HK Int';l which has been sent Singapore post apparently. I don';t know how to track it now it';s left the country though, but that';s beside the point.

What stunned me was the email advice "Please Allow up to 45 days for delivery".  :o That';s longer than from chinabay and I didn';t think it could get more delayed.

Thanks for the update...

I';m guessing that any hobby parts are now just seen as DGR. My stuff contains nothing that could slightly be DGR related. Oh well...the wait continues...

tupoar

I';ve seen posts elsewhere where camera gimbals have been classed as DGR.

Part of me thinks that a huge backlog has built up and the quickest way to clear it is to stick it all on a ship. It';s also cheaper...

How would it be handled if you were to raise a paypal dispute and then order from their UK warehouse if the UK warehouse has stock?

Anyone done this before?

barneyg

I';ve got a parcel that was shipped using the direct channel method that will hit 21 working days if it doesn';t arrive today ... tomorrow I';ll be insisting on a refund and then re ordering from the UK since all the stuff is now available there which it wasn';t even listed when I ordered.

I did just that,  opened a dispute,  put the tracking details on from the Malaysia post website, then two days later, rasied it to a claim.   three days later i got my money back and re-ordered from the UK warehouse.

When hobbyking also provided the same tracking details at the dispute stage,  I then questioned it as the info hand';t changed for days, and the massive delay between it deing "dispatched" and actually entering the postal system".

at the claim stage they never even commented.

I lost one of my order status'; toward platinum membership though

been buying from hobbyking since 2009 and trust me platinum membership don';t mean ****

i have raised a dispute too, see how it goes...

JeremyE

Opened a dispute for my one order today...will wait for HK';s reply but pretty sure I will raise it to claim in 2 or 3 days time.
The second order will most likely have a dispute against it in a weeks time...

tupoar

I';ve just an update from Paypal, they have given me a full refund. So now I couldn';t care less if it ever arrives.

I';m off shopping.
