Well knock me sideways with a feather duster!  This is a rather interesting aircraft.  Built for FPV also.

A hybrid multi-rotor and fixed wing with unique capabilities for either.

At $399 (thats USD) and today';s favourable exchange rates I';d expect this to be around £350 in the UK. Cheaper if you import one at the $ price yourself, but you';d have to anticipate import duties and taxes.

See it here with a full video of it lifting off, in flight and landing.  http://www.birdseyeview.aero/

you looks a good idea, think it has 2 flight controllers 1 multi and 1 wing, if you use one for your wings that is, and has a bridging device on it to switch between the 2. sure would be a head turner

I got the pricing wrong ... the website was a tad confusing ..

So, its $499 for the aircraft with no power train.
Add the Power Pack for another $399 - that gives you the six motors and opto ESCs plus a packet of propellers.

Suddenly not feeling quite so appealing - although the price doesn';t take away from what an awesome design it is.

Works out around £650 all in excl p&p, but I must say that';s an awesome bit of kit for that price

What a concept though. With planes you normally need a large area to take off and land in and with multi rotors you';re always limited by flight times due to how inefficient your flight is. With this you could take off from your bank garden fly a couple of miles away hover around your chosen subject to get the perfect framed shot then fly back again!
