I looked @ logs myself and agree but in the first one it';s hitting almost 50A and that was more or less 75% throttle. Current sensor upgrade is a must. I pushed it to the limits prior to that incident and as you found out it hit 52A.
As mentioned ESC';s are ProFlight 30A and motors are T-motor NM3110-17 700kV. You can read more about copter here: http://www.multi-rotor.co.uk/index.php?topic=7784.0

Are you saying your current sensor is only rated at 50A?

I asked about the motor/ESC';s as there';s chatter about certain combo';s losing synch though I';m not privvy to the finer details.

You might want to investigate this more?

This concerns Afro ESC';s but might contain pertinent info

I don';t where I took it from but thought 3DR Sensor is rated to 50A - well I was wrong is actually 90A Current Sensor. I leave it alone for now but will monitor VCC and Current for some time.
I read about sync problems and didn';t find any reports about motors I';m using and don';t think there was an issue. Anyhow postman surprised me this morning and dropped new ESC from Overlander hope that';s going to work well.

I can see some positives side already :)

Overlander XP2 weight 90g
ProFlight 30A weight 25g each
and will loose PDB

Top plate of Overlander is basically a big heat sink. ProFlight controllers got one heat sink where as an example Turnigy Plush got two heat sinks. I think that could be the problem - too much heat. Overlander is basically designed to be placed between plates like any other 4 in 1 ESC. SteadiDrone for example using Hobbywing SkyWalker Quattro 4 in 1 ESC in QU4D.

Good luck! I';d be inclined to repeat your strapped-down test and see if the problem re-emerges.

Interesting that the product doesn';t show on Overlander';s own website: http://www.overlander.co.uk/speed-controllers-ubec/escs.html?limit=36

EBay';ers charges are a bit eye-wateringly expensive ... or are they? ::)

£45 from Overlander in comparison with http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170976463118?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649 doesn';t look bad me think. Yes i bought programming card as well cos I don';t like to mess with transmitter LOL.

Installed Overlander ESC on Friday morning but managed to burn out 3.3V reg on my APM. Fixed that Saturday and didn';t really have time to do test flight just bench testing. All seem fine. What do you think?
