WiteSpyQuad RTF All-In-one gimbal - questions

Hi all,
I have just got a WiteSpyQuad RTF All-In-one gimbal :- http://witespyquad.gostorego.com/rtf-all-in-one-gimbal.html It is a lovely gimbal and very well made and put together.

As is typical nowadays there is no documentation at all for it so Im a bit stuck in some ways. I have emailed WhiteSpyQuad but they have as yet to get back to me.

Does anyone else have one ?

I was wondering :-
What the controller was ?

What software is needed to check/configure it ? I have tried the latest simpleBGC but it mentioned that I needed a firmware update and I didnt want to do that before I knew what it was for obvious reasons. Plugging a micro USB connector in makes some lights flash, but the motors dont move or anything else for that matter - Windows (8) needed drivers installing too.

How is it powered ? there is a balance connector for a 3c LiPo but once again, without knowing exactly I dont want to risk magic smoke ...

Any ideas at all ?

Thanks :)

Regards

Adrian
