HaHaHa!  Like it, Like it!

I';m done gimbaling for a while Jim, but they do seem a good GoPro solution.  I have yet to enter the world of the 3 axis!!

They are very good. But why oh why do the designers insist on putting the motors on the right,   I end up putting the camera in upside down and inverting it so I can get to the ports on the right.

I keep wondering this as well. Pain in the Ass having to de mount the camera each time you want to down load.

Must admit I';d considered mounting the gopro upside down as well.

Hi all,

Has anybody used one of these yet? If so, how do they perform?

I';m about to press the ';buy it now'; button as it looks like just the thing I need :-)

The tarot 2d is good but I';m getting fed up with the fishtail camera shots that seem unavoidable with a smaller form factor quad.

Can';t seem to find any Zenmuse 3d in the UK, plus I';m thinking that this is likely to be overpriced as is the Zen 2D vs the 2D Tarot. IMHO the Tarot is as good or even better for 1/2 the price. (Despite the ';naked'; cables etc)  :whistling:

With follow-me on yaw retracts aren';t essential.

I think the logic is that it allows the lens to be kept at the centre of rotation while maintaining a compact form-factor.

On a Tarot-2D You can quite easily pop the SD card in and out, and a 90 degree USB cable fits with a bit of fiddling.

Theflyingfreak

I';d be interested to hear from anyone that has had one of these for a while and how they find it ???

mikim

Yes me too. Think I';m just going to jump in and take the risk... Looks good enough. :-)

I have one, haven';t fully set it up yet though. Seems to work pretty well but some adjustment is probably needed to avoid wobbles at extreme angles.

So would I - I have one on back-order at HK!

Theflyingfreak

Have pressed the button on one today, should be here tomorrow hopefully  ::)

has anyone mounted it on a 450 and if so any comments on best way to mount it / how far forward to put it, I think I#ve got to drill some holes in the bottom plate to fit it on ??

Hi, where have you ordered yours from please? I';m seriously considering one of these but still looking round for the best price.

Cheers,

Andy.

Theflyingfreak

ashutchy,
I ordered it from RC legends http://www.rclegends.co.uk/dys-smart3.html mainly because I felt the guys were so helpful that if you had a problem you';d probably get good backup and I';ve heard at least 4 / 5 cases of people ordering the cheapest they could find on E-Bay and being sent rubbish copies that were useless and decided it just wasn';t worth the risk!!

ashutchy

Many thanks for that and yes, I';m inclined to agree. For what I could potentially save buying from eBay it';s just isn';t worth the risk.  ~~
