what happens if 2 motors on the same arm go though
Point and click.

Monkey see, Monkey do.

Something bad i suspect!

Where is that accent from? Totally bizarre!

a down side of both on one are it falls, octo would stay up with 2 motors failing side by side. but that is v tail?

Only when one looses sight of your toy does FPV become fun and against legislation already in place.

Not much kit, but what I have I like

It';s got different angles between the front and back arms but all the motors are in the same plain. A V-Tail has the two back motors canted off vertical to produce the yaw effect whereas an X8 is more like a quadcopter doubled up. It';s definitely an X8.

Pretty sure this would become a very expensive brick if only one motor failed !!! I have always doubted this configuration as it is just so in-efficient ... Quads are good fun for hooning and become lazy over750mm wheelbase !!! Hex and octo copters make perfect filming platforms or for any situation where very precise flying is required !!! I would steer well clear of this configuration as its just pointless when the other known configs are so much better !!!

X8';s work great in windy conditions for Aerial photography in places like the UK due to the heavy lift capabilities and lowered gust response from the doubled up motors and props.

If you have a lot of aerial photography to do in the wind then the loss of efficiency seems worth the trade off.

For general fliers i don';t think it';s worth it though and if you were doing aerial photography somewhere calmer you';d want a hexacopter or octocopter instead.
