I';ve managed about 10 flights without crashing or breaking anything  so I';m looking to treat myself to some better props, running bendy plastic ones at the mo.

Should have kept my mouth shut  , the evening after I posted that I crashed trying a new move. Now running on my last 4 props real mixture of leftovers, make it a bit twitchy.

Nice one,ordered a few 5x3 and 6x3,i like these the balance is pretty good on them.

Got some 10x4.5';s in the mail on Friday, managed to get some time to run them through my balancer on Saturday - a complete waste of my time 

All 4 that I tried were far better that I usually do, in both the blade and the hub, straight out of the packet  :evil

Can';t wait to patch up my quad after the last mishap and try these bad boys out.

They are very nice props and a great service from Phil

For some reason though (and one I am not spending any time working out) my mini H quad hates 2 blades it went absolutely mental.

So it will be back to 3 blades for me - shame

Bizarre, my mini h-quad struggles with the 3 bladed props, I think it';s a balance issue, they are so light to balance, anyway, have the hq props to try, they certainly seem stiffer so am expecting good things.

Once the thumb heals, testing them is first on the agenda.

Hq props are best i';ve used, and i';ve spent a fortune replacing graupners, these are far better and can take a beating

Unfortunatly they dont do any 3 blade atm, 2 bladed props that are balanced are normaly fine, have you tried balancing them ?

From the moment I fit them Phil the quad wigged out!

I didn';t balance the HQ props or the HK props and in all honesty the only time I have seen a quad behave so erratic was when I first messed with Mega Pirate.

It flipped and flopped despite my efforts with messing with the PIDs and it';s last flip broke all the props. The only thing that changed was the addition of Teslaheds motor mounts and the HQ props.

I have some 3 blades on order so if it goes back to flying sweet then the only conclusion I can reach is it doesn';t like 2 blades

If that';s the case then the carbon RCTimer props on their way to me will be sold on

Props waiting for me when I got home, just taken one at random of each size to check how well balanced they are, have to say that these are the best I have had so far out of the packet.

It seems that changing from wooden to carbon arms absolutely spanks the FC with vibes so bad that it was the cause of the issues in my posts above.

Had to rethink the way I mount the KK board and all seems fine.

I';ll be ordering some more props of you Phil

Thing is possibly to do with the resonant frequency of the different materials, plus their length - softwood is a very good damper as far as resonance is concerned, that';s why it works so well.

Nice tough props, no need to balance them at all.

Taken a bit of a beating but two finally gave in after hitting the ground at full power 

Anyone know why they take longer to spin down than the plastic props I have on the other 2 motors? I just arm and disarm and the HQ ones take about 1/2sec long to stop.
Is it a more efficient profile?

Some thing else I noticed is that the motors with these props on don';t get as warm as the other 2. All the same thing I guess.
