Mounting plate ideas please.

Hi all.

Most of you are probably aware of the Aeroxcraft landing gear for the F550 which I think looks superb compared to the cheap crappy thing my mate and I have on ours. Had we known at the time that the holding bracket screws would screw straight through and the legs would snap at the first sign of a hard landing, we would not have gone for them.

Well due to recent upgrades like retracts (not yet fitted) and hubcap, we need to relocate things and the Aeroxcraft looks like just the thing... except we don';t need the legs and skids so seems a waste lashing out £70 on them when half will be lobbed.

So does anyone have or seen what would be pretty much just the top area of that setup (as sort of shown in the below image). Doesn';t need to be Aeroxcraft, but similar would be great.

ps. we did enquire about the individual parts, but as is normally the case, they came to more than the full thing... without gimbal support.

Thanks Rafter, but remember the cheap crappy landing gear I mentioned? 

They are awful tbh and although it still functions there is no room to put batteries on them which is what I now want to do with my new hubcap covering the top area.

I see what you mean.

But I have this gear and find it awful. Not sure I would trust it to hold my gimbal AND larger battery, possibly two. The little brackets are just terrible and cannot be tightened without screwing through the bracket.

A possible option would be these:

and 3 or 4 of these - two plate up for mounting to the bottom of the F550 and One or two Plate down as intended for Battery mounting.
