I soldered one of the naze controllers up today and fitted to my teslaquad SS, very nice to fly and easy to configure, felt locked in and the auto level worked well even in todays wind and a small quad

How would you compare to a KK2.1 Phil? I';m wondering about getting one of these for a V-tail :)

Hi

Being 100% honest, I';ve not flown a kk2, i can say that ive flown the Naze on both full acro settings and normal flying and its very capable of both.
auto level is good, not too obtrusive and of course tunable to your requirements, stick scaling equivalent works very well too, horizon mode, which combines self level at center to mid stick, and acro at mid to full stick is great for learning acro, flipping and releasing stick so it goes to level

I';ve just had a look and there is a setup / config on the board for v tail, so all should be good :D

Hope thats of some help and sorry i could not do a direct comparison

Compared to the KK2 the Naze 32 is more tunable and has nicer PC software. There are more options to set it up exactly the way you want for either smooth or acro flight (or both).

The Naze32 is also smaller and lighter.

Both are very capable acro flight controllers.

I think the Naze32 has the edge on flight performance and tunability and the KK2 is slightly easier to get into with a shallower learning curve for new fliers and people that don';t want to mess about with PC software.

I';ve flown both and prefer the Naze32 but then i';ve spent a year and a half learning to tune multiwii boards now so find it quite easy to get them flying the way i want, whereas i am less familiar with the KK2.

One circlip short of a quadcopter.
1 lobe short of an antenna.

Thanks guys. I ask as I';m considering an Armattan V-Tail and the maker suggested moving to a multiwii based board due to better options for that type of model.

What';s the turnaround time if I choose the soldering service Phil?

nub

a 1/2 decent basic FC for under £20 that';s a bargain!

Point and click.

Monkey see, Monkey do.

Hi Phil,

Really sorry to do this, but would you mind cancelling that order please? The Armattan guy has literally just told me he';ll throw in a Naze32 board already tuned for his V-tail at a really silly price, and would be silly of me not to take him up on it....

Thanks,

Justin

Not quite ... the flip32 is an approximation to the Naze32 ... the flip 1.5 is based on an ATmega328 which is quite old tech now - it is the same as a crius SE NOT the Crius Pro';s which are ATmega2650';s.

philtrum

thanks for the videos Chris, looks really stable, which is what i love about these flight controllers

Both acro and full naze controllers in stock again
also got some great 36mm power boards

These boards are amazing, coming from the kk2.0 & kk2.1 this flies so much smoother and seems more responsive.

Plus wire in a bluetooth adapter and you have a great combo for on field tuning.

I will be slowly converting all my acro rigs to these.

philtrum

Glad I could help Paul

have to say I think they are great :D
