:help: What do you use to store/transpost yours in?

I have looked at really big suitcases, but that';s getting me nowhere.
I have also looked at marching band drum cases but again, I can';t be sure of what to buy.
I even looked at some cupboard box website but their comms'; isn';t that good, so another dead end.

I am now leaving it (hex) on show but I like all my gear boxed away.
So my kids can';t break, touch, fiddle & slobber all over it, that';s my job.

My RC helicopter is bagged up.
My RC car is bagged up.
My RC Planes decorate the man cave.

So easy question what do you use?

Thanks
Dyl

Come on guy SHARE.

I think I still want something better than I use.
I have attached some pics.

I use a box with loads of padding (bubble wrap and foam sheets).
This stops it moving about inside the box.
And the top is hardboard covered with shed loads of bubble.
A bit of string taped to the bottom (only) box to carry the whole lot.
I do get my TX under the hex between the legs, and I have room for the batteries and other stuff.

But it looks sheet, come on guys 93 reads someone share.

i think I would struggle to find a box for my 500 quad to be honest. with the props still added on it would take up some area in a box, without the props it might fit in a fair size flight case but who wants to keep removing and refitting props?.
as for a 550 hex, it`s also a fair size bigger than a 500 quad.
I think I`ll look into making one now though...

A custom made flight case may be an option not sure how much they are though. A quick Google search gives several companies that do custom sizes.

Also upholstery foam is pretty cheap for use inside the case. The stuff you get for sofa cushions is nice and thick so you can cut the shape of you gear out of it.

I got hold of a 2nd hand Peli 1630 case - it';s an absolute beast of a box, barely fits in back of my car, but big enough for drone with landing gear, radio and FPV gear etc, though keep the lipo batteries separately.  Seems a bit of an overkill but very solid and secure, but quite bulky and heavy.

dirtyharry

I use corrugated plastic ( sign board) made into various wing suits/ flight boxes and even made a plane with it .

just crease the corners with a pizza cutter n glue with evostick to whatever shape u need

DarkButterfly

most of mine are stored behind the sofa not in boxes, when I go to fly, I just put my hex/quad/tri, depending on what I';m flying that day in the boot of the car with my flight bag, that';s it, no cases needed.

Why use 4 motors when you can use 6?
