Has anybody got any experience with fog?
What I';m getting at it is my artistic head says photos from above low level fog will look good. But my flying brain says no no no.
Or am I wrong?

From a photographic point of view, I like fog, however not too thick, from a flying perspective absolutely not, it';s bad enough driving in it.

Why use 4 motors when you can use 6?

It makes for very interesting footage but a no no unless you have got a very reliable rtl. To an extent you can fly by sound and if you';ve got very bright leds it helps - tried it myself but af the moment I';ve not got a decent camera so no footage, but it was quite scary - I wouldn';t want to risk an expensive camera doing it!

Need to take more brave pills. Was interested if the technology would cope really.

Fog is brilliant... every time you fly in it, you get to try out those cool new ideas you';ve had for another quad!

simon

Sounds expensive may be not then lol

A carefully tested RTL and auto land mode would be useful if you lose it in the fog.
