They hysteria surrounding UAV';s is really quite odd.

I fail to understand why people think they present more of a threat to personal freedom than say police helicopters or a Predator.

Guess his mom and dad don';t agree with "Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness..." unless they are blasting something to pieces with their assault rifle, shotgun or bazooka. As a "drone" has no trigger, sights or bullets in it, it probably confuses him so he resorts to the one thing he thinks he does understand, guns. In another post I made a joke about "skeet-shooting" Amazon drones, but I was joking. I am amazed that people think it is ok to cause criminal damage to other peoples property because "they don';t like them". There is an issue here though, Escalation. I wonder how long it will be before someone arms his "drone" so they can shoot back at this unpleasant chap.

The funny thing is they';re not going to be able to easily shoot them down 

The effective range of a shotgun is 40-50 yards and "drones" could easily fly higher than that. With a rifle you could reach one but it';s stupid for a couple reasons, firstly good luck hitting it, there';s a reason you don';t see many people hunting birds in flight with rifles, secondly it';s massively irresponsible not having a backstop when you miss.

I';ve seen videos of people shooting RC planes with a battalion';s worth of automatic weapons at gun shows and still taking a while to actually hit it.

Then again we';re not dealing with geniuses here, it';s a tiny town in the middle of nowhere where the gene pool is more of a puddle.
