I have various VTOL planes and Quads using flight controllers running Betaflight, iNAV and Ardupilot. Using Matek GPS.

Traditionally Spektrum paid little attention to multirotor control, or in keeping step with the other systems, even to the extent of using reversed motor wiring colours (brushed), servo wiring plugs, wiring colours, expo setup, and on and on and on.  They IMO have done everything possible to lock a purchaser into their gear (and in that they are not alone).    Mainstream FPV entusiasts generally do not go there, nor do I, so I cannot comment with any experience, other to say I would not go there due to the likely much more minimal user base.

Since Dynam with their Detrum range is seemingly being regarded within the FPV community as effectively close to a clone product and seems to follow the same philosiphy, they seem to be going the same way as Spektrum with regard unique assisted/autonomous/semi-autonomous flight control. Appears to offer this system being ready matched to their other product, on the face  of it a quick fix, but it looks "old school" design to me.   

Not somewhere I'm likely to ever tread, but if you buy, let us know all about it. We might be missing out!
