An update on me, and some multi-rotor goodies

Hey everyone, many of you won't remember me as, whilst I first joined here 8 years ago, I've been somewhat vacant in recent years.

Most recently though it was due to an accident I had.
I'm a camera/drone operator for wildlife/science documentaries, and back in July 2023 I was on a shoot in Italy, when I fell 230 feet down an alpine mountain, breaking (in multiple places each) my spine, neck, pelvis, ankle, ribs, sternum, and skull, and a good number of internal injuries too.

As a result I've been in recovery since then and I've not yet been able to return to work.

I've now decided to start selling some products I designed for myself for use when out on shoots. Many of them I've had available for free for people with 3D printers on Printables.com (and they will remain there), but to try and bring in a little money, I've started to put them on Etsy too.

I thought I'd let you guys know as there's a few drone things on there (including an FPV drone display stand, and a protective case for DJI CineSSDs).
Since this forum was a big part of my early years in drones, I thought I'd share with you guys a 10% off voucher too as a thank you. The code is "multirotor", but if you use the link below to visit, it should automatically apply the discount to any of the drone items in my store at the checkout:

Anyway, I hope you're all doing well. Take care.

Of course we remember!

Hope you are doing as well as can be expected, and good luck with the sales.

I have found (in an area away from multirotors) that there are people prepared to buy when they don't have printers or even those who have one but found they don't have the skills or time.

You might be able to carve a niche market?

Ah that's cool to hear. Thanks, fingers crossed.

I've just released another product which is a wall mounted version of my drone stand, which I think is a little different and looks damn cool so hopefully that'll do well.

Recovery is coming along ok thanks, but I'm getting pretty fed up with just being a potato so trying to make the most of it whilst I'm still stuck indoors.

Following on from my earlier post, I should point out that even with a 3D printer lots of QUAD people are unable to print TPU acceptably. Pretty much all bowden feed printers hate the flex of TPU.

And lots of people are likely to want TPU arm ends, front and rear frame guards, antenna mounts, XT60/30 mounts, etc, etc. Even if they have some provided, like the dark green ones supplied with the iFlight Nazgul Evoque, they are total carp anyway, apart from limiting what colours you make the LEDS. I prefer Orange, its bright, and it stands out if downed in grass, scraggle, unlike damn GREEN..........

Very good point, thanks! I'm definitely going to keep that in mind when I design my next wave of products for the store.

I'm pretty happy that my stands seem to be doing quite well, and I've now added an FPV drone wall mount to my range, along with a few other bits.

I'll definitely keep things like those arm guards in mind, thanks!

Hope you guys are doing well!
