TBS Tango II pulling to right

Some of you may remember me. I used to frequent here a lot. Unfortunately I suffered serious trauma at work and have been out of it for a long time.

Now I'm starting to be able to test things again and so am able to spend some times on sims, specifically, Lift Off and Uncrashed on PC using my TBS Tango 2 Pro.

Unfortunately, I've noticed, in both sims, that if I load into a map and don't touch the transmitter at all, despite all my sticks being centred, the drone just slides iteslf to the right.

I believe that in Uncrashed it appears to manifest as if the yaw stick was rocked slightly to the right, and in LiftOff it seems more as if it's the Roll stick.

Either way, this happens regardless of control calibration, is always to the right, and happens on both of these sims. It's not like the sticks are held all the way to the right, it's like a stick just has a slight preference to the right.

Anyway, does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

Hi!

Good you are back!

Assuming on Tx :-

SUB-TRIMS centered?
TRIMS centered?

Have you tried looking in Betaflight at an Rx output on any quad?  Don't know the Tx you have but Tx rarely seem to centre accurately enough for Sims.

On the Rx screen you'll be able to see if the Tx is inherently centering at 1500 or not.

In Liftoff you can fine tune. Also you can adjust the deadband (as if you were in Betaflight)

Do not do any Sim visual checks with the quad on the ground!

Don't know "Uncrashed"!  (Not one my nine!)

PropsToYou

Thanks Raven!

I'm fairly sure my trims are centred on the TX but I'll double check.

As for checking Betaflight with an RX, unfortunately it's not an option for me at the moment. I can only just about spend a little time at my computer now, but taking props off quads, and moving them around to plug them etc is still a good while away from what I'll be able to do.

Last night I did however adjust the deadband in LiftOff which seems to have sorted the issue, at least in that sim, which is great!

Uncrashed is relatively new I believe. It's a pure sim, no game or racing elements. It looks great but is a bit floaty. The attraction is there are cars driving down roads etc so you can practice following moving targets.

Thanks for your help, really appreciate it and hope you're well!

CurryKitten on Youtube has created a little fun sim that might be worth a try as it too has cars to chase, plus a plane and beach ball to bump into. Physics aren't perfect but it's quite fun.

If the drift is on tx then can you look at the stick values in the settings menus?

I try :-)

Bad Raven

Just downloaded "Uncrashed" as I'm a sucker for all Sims!  (Quite good!)

It has a deadband setting on the Controls screen, but my Taranis was simple to set up and has no drift at all.

And yes its definitely too floaty as it comes for a gen purpose 5" freestyle/race, but again, there is a weight adjuster in the drone menu.

PropsToYou

Ah glad you're enjoying UnCrashed. There are some nice maps, it's main selling point.
I'll check out the drone weight adjuster, so far the only setting I'd tried was increasing gravity.

Thank you.
