Loss of connection to Betaflight

Hi folks,

So I'm having trouble connecting my drone to Betaflight, I've had it connected before and since been flying the drone around. As you do when you're learning to fly, you crash a fair amount, so it could be that I've broken something.. I stripped it all down to check all connections, and on the face of it everything seems fine and connected, no short circuiting etc, but that's not to say the FC isn't damaged from the crashes (again it looks fine).

When I plug the drone into my laptop the red led shows constantly and the blue one flashes. I have a Mamba F405 mk2 stack. Does anyone know if this is normal?



Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot what's going on? It still flies by the way.

If I ever have problems connecting to betaflight, I run the Impulse RC driver fixer - works like MAGIC!

I had trouble yesterday.  Power lights on OK, no talkie talkie, no USB connect noise.

Worked better after I'd seated the USB plug in the laptop fully, it was in enough to transfer power, not enough to transfer data.

I have two quads with the same FC, same version of BF & I *still* have to run the Impulse fixer to switch between them.   

it does work every time though.

Oh.. and here's one that gets me from time to time. SOME USB cables are POWER ONLY and don't have the data lines in them at all!

Thanks guys for the info, I downloaded the "CP210x USB to UART Bridge VCP Drivers" and it seemed to fix it!
