And came home with all my props for a change

flew a few packs today, crashed twice but didn';t break anything, not even a prop, felt good to be back on FPV hooning round on fresh batteries ::)
Why use 4 motors when you can use 6?

Yes I flippin did fly today :-)

At a camp site in Pewsey, (Wilts).  I zoomed about skimming over a grassy meadow with horse jumps in it, FPV of course and zoomed it up really high and checked out the scenery.  It was very good indeed, I put 5 batteries through it.

I asked the fellow campers if they minded if I flew, they were fine with it and actually they totally loved watching it.  It made their day. I could hear em behind me going ohhhh and ahhhh etc :-)

The campsite lady was VERY enthusiastic about "drones" and FPV, so was her son.

I gave her this web sites address so she could check things out.

I did mention that having some FPV racing on her land might earn her a few quid as we talked about diversification in the farming industry..like you do... and she was even more interested...Like a little FPV racing festival, chemical bogs, camping, and food vans and that.

Hummmmm  :hmm:

I just got back from zone 2016, the RC helicopter competition.  I got a chance to try out flying round a little fpv racing course there with gates and flags and markers.  It was great having a go at it and I wasn';t as bad as I thought I would be.  I did pretty good..relatively speaking.  I also discovered that my quad is quite crash-proof.  Yay.

Flicking between acro and level mode 😁 it';s a bit of a bad habit but I loose the plot sometimes in acro, flick of a switch to self level gets me out of the poo,,, ,lots !
Cheers.

Had a small tumble . But I was too giddy and took off without giving her a once over . Lost a prop and hit the ground at a fair wack .
Not one to be defeated by the simple thing of smashed quad . Out from the bottom of the she some epoxy and fibreglass.
Think it looks ok . Back out tomorrow ,fly , crash, repair , repeat.

Yes found a great new place to fly with no disturbances
Makes a big difference

Kellarly

Yup, it';s great when you find a place like that. I';ve got an out of the way park to play in. Didn';t fly to the greatest of my abilities today, but not having flown since January, it was a bit of getting back in the saddle. Only one prop broken after my vTx antenna came loose and I landed reasonably gently into the ground.
