Still hoping to to get my little bees working again , meanwhile flew faithful 250 , and finished up re applying its mud :

Gav

One lipos worth this afternoon. More TPA and rate tweaks. Still need to adjust higher.
I should take the laptop with me next time :)

Jazzz

Yes ..... The weather was fantastic ......no wind and bright ....... Just found warp quads those guys can realy fly ...

Gav

first time in ages got to have a nice flying sesh in the woods albeit a bit of a ';Sunday drive'; of a fly - but enjoyable.

Had a good day flying, had the Blade 350 qx3 out and first i tried some building video at St pauls derelict church but it seemed the building might have been blocking gps hold and i was worried i might bounce of the church, so went to the playing field and had a good fly about, managed 13 mins with the stock 3000mah lipo
Volantex Ranger 1600/2000, Ranger 1200 G2, Phoenix S 1600 AR900 Miniskyhunter, ZOHD Dart 635 and a few 680 batwings plus old faithful C1 chaser and a lot of eagletree guardians

guest325

Had a good 40 mins out of a 3S2200 zippy compact in my AXN flying around with the Buzzards, old booger Bruce is spot on, what a great little plane!!!

I got out on Sunday in the nice weather. Tuning the KISS FC on the Alien6 and testing the Xnova motors on the Alien5... which are bonkers!

nub

yes i flew today!

i';m not long back from burning a couple of battery';s, no hard crashes, just a couple of tumbles on my landings, so all went well, back out again shortly! ::)
Point and click.

Monkey see, Monkey do.

I flew on Saturday, yesterday was pub and walk with some friends I haven';t seen for a year.

Saturday was mostly tuning the Raiju hex (brilliant now!) and disassembling the z-84 wing by repeatedly flying it into the ground.

Things I have learnt;

1) CA is terrible for glueing foam planes together
2) Whoever suggested I needed to reduce the throws on the control surfaces needs shooting. Most of my early crashes were due to lack of available maneuverability!
3) I need a bigger field!

Probably not, generally speaking it';s because the ground spitefully jumps up at you ::)

Switch assigned for both full and reduced rates perhaps?

Gandhi

hahaha.

Both of those, yes :)

It';s quite a nippy little plane so the ground presents itself very quickly ;)

I should have set up dual rates, yes. Lesson learnt for the future. I';m still quite new to this plane thing. To be fair though, I really enjoyed it. Almost as much as FPV quads!

Area21

Flew my Fosil 260 quad and set the PID.s and rates to allow it to flip really well. Flipping great time 😀

Nope. Had two windless days in a row but I';m still waiting on my new motors arriving.

Mark_Felton

Got out for the first time in over 3 months.....flew DJI F550, lil 250 and HJ Alien.  Burnt through all my packs and had so much fun with the 250.  Wind picked up and was over 15mph so gave up at 1pm.  But really enjoyed it and cant wait for weekend.

Friskle

Got out on Sunday for a change, first time been flying in at least 3 months, mostly with the planes, but managed to finally have my own proper flight test of the 300 sized Naza i bought from Davethepitch before Christmas, was great, very very happy at the way it flew, very smooth, and even though a Naza, still far more manouverable than my Naza 450..Hats off to Him for the Build, did a great job of it. :)

Ohhh yesss went flying today with me mate at a farm we know of and had a great day. I bought myself a new antenna to try and very pleased with the outcome. It was so good I flew beyond my transmitter range just as it started to break up. 1hr later after walking around big open field wearing me goggles looking a tit I found my quad. I found the signal and directed myself to it expecting broken parts all i broke was a nylon spacer thingy on my robocat. Then played take each other out with our foamy mustangs and we did     Head on  :banghead:

Barbecue sticks and UHUPOR and it';ll be ready to go again, got one of those to build when I can get round to it!

DarkButterfly

Looks like it has barbecue sticks in the nose, it just needs glueing back
Why use 4 motors when you can use 6?

Already have some cocktail sticks in it I have had it over a year and a half abused it crashed it smashed it glued it and reinforced packing taped it and it still keeps going. I  bought a spare a year ago and still in box I cant kill this one  I put two carbon rods in top and bottom of my wings and two each side of the fuselage Darrel. When I do build the next one I am going to put main wing servo in the wing itself, as too much foam gets cut out and weakens the fuzz.

guest325

Quite agree, I';m going to use 2  5g servos in the wing and use plenty of CF flat along any weak looking parts of the fus. I also normally insert flat CF into the leading edges if it';s going to do combat; works a treat ::)

D-roc

Yes flew today,  but after 20 mins a motor failed :-( so game over for a bit.

I flew today, only got a bit less than an hour on my lunch break but it was a great day for it, very little wind and some nice sunshine.

Good flying weather is coming back at last!!

:frantic:

Managed to fly a couple of packs during a trip to the beach. Cliff diving while being chased by seagulls!

Sort of, visibility didn';t seam that bad until I put the goggles on then  :o couldn';t see a thing.

So resorted to a bit of LOS until my fingers went numb.
Wasdale X, Ow that hurt

Gandhi

No. But after today I am off work until the 29th.

I spent all last evening updating all 5 of my Multi';s to betaflight 2.5.3, charging batteries, changing props, checking everything works etc. Gotta glue the z-84 wing back together today at some point.

Off to Cornwall, so will hopefully find some new flying sites to play on :)

imyregomaniac

3 batts worth today on the beach early morning. Empty beach, very little wind. Heaven.

Hands0n

Saturday, for the first time since before Christmas 2015 I actually managed something resembling an action session of flying.  I went through 9 batteries across three multis in just over two hours.  It was cold, but dry and not to windy, so much fun was had.  w00t!
