No picture on Predator V2's

So ..... I fly a Torrent 110 - all hooked up and clear picture through the Fatshark Goggles

I connect to my 250 and I just get a grey screen - starting point was to replace what I thought could be a faulty FPV camera but nothing - still a grey screen or the black and white screen depending on the switch direction on the bottom of the Fatshark Goggles - have tried changing the immersion race band receiver but still the same - could it therefore likely be a fault in the vtx power adapter but when I plug the battery in I am getting power (at least a red light on the race band receiver) - kinda running out of ideas.  Any suggestions?

Are you using an OSD?
Is the 250 or any part of it new?(was it working before)
And sorry but have you taken the lense cap off?

Yep, the lense cap is off!  No new parts - 250 was working before and no OSD.  After a little more troubleshooting I'm thinking it could be the cable running from the camera to the  VTX - I believe its a 5 PIN MOLEX TO 3P V1 JST - reasons for saying is that when I move the cable around it looks like it is trying to show an image of sorts - have ordered a cable of fleabay so fingers crossed.

you haven't got it in playback mode have you matey? lil switch on there for watching recorded footage

Cable ordered so we'll see if that's the cause.

Bajadre - no playback mode on my Fatshark Predators V2's mate - wish that was the problem though :)

Cable should be here tomorrow or Saturday so fingers crossed.

I don't know what skills you have or what kit.
I would connect a cable to the video out on the camera that enables you to plug the camera into a tv (either via composite (yellow phono) or via scart (you would have to look up pin outs)) That way you can see if camera is outputting images to a tv.
If the camera is OK then it must either be the vtx or goggles.
VTX - connect cam back up, check that you know what frequency is selected and some power (not just pit mode). Then make 100% sure goggles are set to same freq. If no images then maybe vtx is dead.

I assume you know that if a vtx is powered on without an antenna it will probably die within a couple of mins?

You can also test the vtx by connecting a video out signal from a freeview/freesat/dvd player etc to the vtx and see if the goggles can see the image.
