dunno whether anyone else would have use for this but I got a few people asking about it when I took it out the car to drill out a bolt on my mates frame down my flying field.

I made it ages ago on a whim and since found it a very useful little bugger (I even used it to drill holes in a car door to mount central looking and electric window conversion).

uses one of these...

...in a 3 part 3d printed grip enclosure.

runs off anything between 12v upto 26v (so 3s-6s), of course the higher the voltage the better the speed but generally the torques pretty good even on a 3s (what I had it on during the car door thingie) with a simple on-off flip switch at the back.

printed it in PLA (which I didnt expect to last long if the motor got hot) but it proved sturdy enough to last and hasnt showed any signs of breakage so far so even the most basic printer should be able to make this.

been a trusted and useful companion out in the field and on the benchtop and I expect it'll still be around for many moons to come

NEAT!

I have an old 18volt Woolworths drill, used to be NIMH, now wired out to run 4S 3300 LiPo. Also a hedge cutter, also now LiPo!

Nice.
I have an old 12v Black and Decker drill that the battery died for years ago but I didn't throw it out! Because 'it might come in handy one day' and it now supporting an XT60 and runs great on lipo power. I also kept it as it was the best battery drill I have had over the years
I try :-)
