Not really surprising. The gov want to regulate and 'tax' drones so they manipulate test data into misleading statements to get what they want.
It won't change a thing, us law abiding citizens will continue to follow laws and the idiots who break laws will continue.
But the blissful general public will feel safer knowing 'all drones have to be registered'!!!!

And I used to work for QinetiQ testing jet engines to produce data for flight certification!!!!
I try :-)

tsk I dont think the bans gonna go far enough...

they need to look at the wider picture, after the Hudson crash they need to ban Geese too, while their at it they should ban anything around that size, swans, large ducks, seagulls, condors, herons, albatross's etc.... oh and ban aliens too, sooner or later one of those pesky flying saucers is bound to hit a plane.

wait.... how could It have not occured to me, what a blindspot Ive overlooked, they should ban planes too, chances of a plane hitting another plane is way more likely!, they should make it a law that only one plane is allowed to fly at any given time on the planet, that'll limit the chances of a whoopsie.

Of course there's also the obvious more simplified solution to the whole issue....

they could STFU, go out, get laid and chill the feck out.

If ignoring these sensationalising fucktards over dramatic interpretation of the facts makes me flying my quads a criminal then so be it, Im a criminal, boo(feckin)hoo I feel so bad about my wrongdoings.

Why am i not surprised???The government carefully select the best most qualified people to do studies,  If the result doesn't  suit their agenda  it's suppressed, selectively edited or modified to suit, and the specialist discredited... Anybody remember David Nutt...

It doesn't surprise me in the least, once Whitehall decides they don't like something they go all out to either restrict it to the point that people won't/can't afford to do it anymore, take advantage of any possible tragedy or accident to push for bans and rely/aid the mass media to poison the general public against it.

As a keen shooter in this country I've seen it my entire life  :banghead:

Wait until you need to renew your ticket,  Docs are now charging for reports and sometimes not responding. If lucky  a local gun shop will store your irons until it's sorted. :hmm:

My force seems to have learnt their lesson and didn't even ask for a report at my last renewal (start of December). There seems to be some parallels wo be drawn between the shotoing world and drone world. I sincerely hope it doesn't get as bad in the drone world as it is in the shooting one now though  :crossfingers:
