So i am building a TBS 500 clone for a bit of FPV flying, this will have Naza M so not a racer, what budget googles would be worth getting, i bet it will be an eashine model
Volantex Ranger 1600/2000, Ranger 1200 G2, Phoenix S 1600 AR900 Miniskyhunter, ZOHD Dart 635 and a few 680 batwings plus old faithful C1 chaser and a lot of eagletree guardians

I don';t have these I have Quanum V2 Pro modded quite a bit and while they are OK I would buy these if I had to replace them: https://goo.gl/oAAZbr Yes they are Eachines  They are the Eachines VR D2 Pro 5 Inches at £63.83.
My reasons for liking them is that they have a diversity receiver, a DVR and adjustable focus (handy for my eyes).
The only thing I would like is an hdmi input so I could plug my tablet in to practice FPVFreerider. The only ';cheap'; ones with hdmi are https://goo.gl/Rey4Nc but they dont have DVD or focus adjustment!!! They are the Eachine Goggles Two 5 Inches and they are £103.73 they do have a 1080 screen and teh hdmi input.
There are also some really cheap ones https://goo.gl/uegrHE Eachine VR006 At £29.52. They are 3" screen and not as it would seem a diversity receiver, the display is only 500*300 but they do seem to get reasonable reviews, maybe due to the low price?
I try :-)

I use these, and after trying them two others in my group have converted.

The stupid "face" sticker in other pics on site comes unfitted and has stayed that way!!

I have stretched the focus with an insert to avoid using glasses for my prescription and added a dual diversity Lumenier VRX, but the second pair I have are std VTX and the other two using this type have not altered theirs either.

I also have a Quanum2 set with dual diversity ImmersionRC VRX but would not recommend either!

I bought a cheap HDMI/SVGA adapter to run the Sims from my goggles, so no added weight when not needed.

Battery modded to rear harness to reduce and balance the nose load, they are very comfortable.

I too bought a composite to hdmi adapter for about £8 on ebay. As you say when not in use no extra weight. But when in use you have to remember, hdmi cable from pc/laptop/tabet to converter, composite cable from converter to goggles, usb power lead (plus mains adapter, as I use tablet) to power converter. So while it does work it has many more cables. Plus it';s not easy to get any sound without a headphone amp as the converter only converts audio to line level!

Currently I haven';t found any ';budget'; (upto £120 ish) goggles that have adjustable focus, diversity rx, dvr and hdmi inputs. But I am still looking
Closest for me, as I can add DVR and, like you add something to sort focus out are the  https://goo.gl/Rey4Nc  Eachine Goggles Two 5 Inches.

It';s good for these threads to pop up every now and again as new goggles are always coming out so hopefully one day my perfect budget goggles will be produced  ::)

Yes, I live in hopes, too!!

I too am now on the hunt for FPV goggles.  Saw the Eachine Ev100';s and I liked their low profile (I can currently get away without glasses).  Would they not be worth a look:

If not, how come?  I realise they';re more middle of the range and not budget.  Anything else around this price worth looking at?
