Rappy Freak

Yeah.  Been thinking about it on and off and thought it would come in handy once I start learning to fly with the goggles on
SkyNet shall rise!!!!!!

Gaza07

The naza gear does look good, looking forward to seeing the usual pics when it arrives and how you get on with it the return home function should come in handy if you find your self in a spot of bother  ~~

You will not be disappointed, every customer that talks with me can't get over how good they are! I keep saying how good these flight controllers are, they are just amazing

I really like the flight controller.  Need to play with the settings a little, could do with a better climb rate.......but not much  ~~

If all goes to plan I am going to try to get it fitted this week ready for a weekend test.

Rappy Freak

Yes the fat guy in the red suit has been

Have not had time to fit and test.  All been well I will get it sorted at the weekend  ~~

The naza gear does always look to be good quality, no bare circuit boards or bare gps modules  ~~
Looking forward to seeing it perform, if you feel up to it you could document the upgrade and post here to help other later  ~~

Rappy Freak

Yeah I like the not seeing wires part. That's why I like the RC Logger gear.  Will put something up about how the upgrade has gone. Sure I will make some mistakes, but that's how you learn lol

MadMax

It will be interesting to see how well the gps works in comparison to some of the other systems with gps, like the rabbit  ;)

Gaza07

To be honest I would expect the naza to perform quite a bit better than the rabbit as the rabbit is considerably cheaper, not that there is anything wrong with the rabbit, I just think its like comparing chalk and cheese

I had an hour fpv fun this afternoon with a good friend who has the naza and it is awesome.  Very robust system with steady as a rock flight characteristics, amazing return to launch feature.  It is very robotic like.  Very impressive.  I have some great shots of it flying close to my KK powered quad, also in flight.  We were laughing both wearing goggles looking at each others quadcopters flying as close as we dare.

here's a pic from my view at the naza

Rappy Freak

Managed to test the gps mode and have found that the drone floats backward.  Anyone any ideas please?
SkyNet shall rise!!!!!!

Gav

recalibrate in a field away from anything magnetic?   Not got the gps unit yet myself.

Rappy Freak

Yeah no metal with me, phone in the car, no metal around.  Think it may be in the location settings
SkyNet shall rise!!!!!!

MadMax

Did you balance your props ? could wobbly props cause drift or is there any trim or sub trim on your radio

Rappy Freak

No still not do the props.  I have changed the settings and it seems to hold position now, only have two set of batteries to test with.  Hummmmmmmm think I need some more lol
SkyNet shall rise!!!!!!

MadMax

Glad you got it sorted just needed a bit of setting up then, you should still balance your props though just to try and eliminate any vibes you might have  ~~

Rappy Freak

Vibes are still there but not as bad after strapping the camera down.  Going to sort a prop balance out asap.  Getting some more batteries first.  Hoping to have an FPV test with the goggles today.........the GPS will really get a test then lol
