Why use 4 motors when you can use 6?

Didn';t generate much chat, did it!

A friend bought the HK Canadian "scale" tilt wing and has finally this week managed two successful back to back flights with VTO, transition, flying around, and VL.  Along the way he';s had all sorts of issues with elevator settings, trim, taken the u/c off several times, and even now the turning circle is huge and on our site gives no room for error.  Looks really good though!

Another friend bought a Convergence, but so far (in quite a while) he';s only flown it tri in hover. He';s wanted me to maiden it through transition and back for the first time but every occasion we have been together and its been suitable conditions he has not had it with him (that';s what you get for owning a Porche 911 and a BMW Mini, neither suitable transport either for carrying space or getting up our field access without stripping the underside out!!).

Anyway, have arranged a deal on one now they have been around a while and stock is sticking on the shelf so I should have my own on Sat.   :whistling:

And...................

I will not be flying it in a location like this completely brain dead iggit obviously considers suitable.................  Words fail....................

Lol that';s worrying that he decided to do a rc test next to that busy road  :slap: be even funnier if someone started watching his rc while passing and ran him over now that';s good entertainment haha

Well, its in my hands, set up for now on my DX9 (normally only used for Indoor). Had to buy the BNF with Spektrum RX as the reachable shops only stock the BNF and not the PNP. No problem, once warranty checked, its over to the Horus and the Rx will be sold on (its a serial Quad RX they say).

Just been flying nice tight eights in the back garden. (high fences and shrubs and not a road in sight!)

Now to put FPV gear into it.   :whistling:

BTW, I looked at doing an own design and still might, but am not clear on what FC can be adapted. The EFlite FC is retailing at over £120 ATM which means buying a complete plane is by far the better deal.  :hmm:

And................  here';s a couple of interesting videos to be going on with, as the wind forecast this week looks likely to prevent me flying it in anger.

First, the best one I have come across so far to show aero in Tri and in Plane modes:-
