gps powered by usb ?

Hi , installed the gps config file , made leads etc , and testing to see if I have a gps location on the mission planner.
It`s not powering the gps with the usb or that correct ?
Do I need to power it via the ubec / lipos  ?

your gps should be powered by the board when usb connected how have you wired it up to the board and what type of board are you using

Thank you , a oops moment it was plugged into the analogue port .

Now getting data , about 10m out , but that`s no bad inside .
