Blade inductrix RTF FPV ideal for home use?

Hi all, thinking about ordering the new blade inductrix fpv rtf the one that comes with monitor, what';s the range like on these and are the monitors any good?
I';m wanting it to do laps of the house, around walls, fenceso etc etc.

Cheredanine

Look up tiny whoop, then look up eachine e010

Range an motors in all cases are fine for pooling around in the house

iRobot

E010 is very good  ~~ upgrade motors are needed and bigger lipos than stock, but it';s up and flying fpv for less than 40 quid !

Jayjaymozza do you have goggles ? It';s not easy flying fpv with a monitor round the house, I';ve tried, (you don';t see all the good fpv pilots with monitors).

Those blade rtf fpv combos do look nice, though a bit pricey,,,,made in China for $5  sold to us for $150

Excellent Fletch  ~~ Just shows you could make a super indoor beast very cheap !

I guess the Inductrix with the camera is decent enough if you don'; t mind spending £80 or whatever the price is. The Eachine QX70* is an interesting alternative for a bit less money, couple that with some cheap goggles. Building yourself is always good, if you can manage it.

*Oops, it looks like the QX70 is a kit.

Saleem

Once i got my 010 and cam/tx if i like it i am considering a smaller eachine quad i can bind to the i6 tx.seems better idea than upgrading an 010,the cam/tx unit on the sub 100 eachine units is around £20 alone so its a no brainer to just buy one of them.

I like idea of kit also although the qx95 is the one i was oggling!

Bad Raven

All the Inductrix family suffer from far too short battery duration. The E010 is not quite as bad and in non-FPV state gives very good duration.

Nobody has as yet really cracked the affordable sub 70mm guarded prop FPV market, certainly not Blade.

My QX90 is great but not for indoors. The Whoopee is also great but not for UK sized homes, good in sports halls though!

Yep, I suppose the inductrix has its advantages like you can use your proper TX instead of toy grade ones, and you have full acro,,,,not that I could fly Acro indoors lol girly self level for me indoors  ::) cheap goggles also would be 100% better than monitor also.

But then modules are available that will allow the Taranis to talk to most of the "toy" market.

Actually the E0101 Tx with stick extensions is not at all bad, and ridiculously good for the £8.53 I bought two E010s at. We had a great laugh last night flying LOS quad contact combat with them, and despite some decent take downs NO damage ensued.

My son loves his E010 but I really can';t get on with the sticks (I';m a thumber).

Oscar Liang sells extensions that fit right over the existing without altering them, they make the movement less sharp and effectively reduce the spring action. And yes, I fly thumbs.

This one has plenty extra batteries and it runs betaflight and cleanflight so you get all the normal flight modes!

You will need to make the batteries fit as the stock ones are square

Wouldn';t do any harm to run a frame brace - http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1803353
and you need an FPV mount - http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1829891

Thanks mate! Very interested in building this rather than buying the blade. What cheap fpv goggles do you suggest for this and what transmitter ? Would the DX6I be okay?

Thanks

Saleem

Ask in thevwanted section for anyone wanting to get shut of fpv goggles, cos you want cheap state it so you dont get people getting shut of expensive ones for big dosh.see what they got to offer and compare online and decide.

Banggood have goggles and some of them are on offer right now,i have fat shark teleporters, quanum cyclops and eachine ev800,got to say i wear the ev800,the teleporters were my first goggles so got use to them and the cyclops are far too big for my liking the times i tried them.

I like the ev800 as they are between goggle and big thing on your head experience, the lcd isnt too big and it works for my eyesight,i do wear giggs at home for tv and such but i have had no probs with them where focus is concerned.

Go looking/shopping,see the prices, read the spec, read reviews, watch youtube vids as ot will help make up your mind perhaps?

The flight controller I linked supports DSM ... so I';m guessing you should be good with the Dx6

I';m a taranis guy so you';d have to check with somebody else in the know.

I use skyzones for my quads, but the hobbyking quanum jobbing get very good reviews, while not dirt cheap they appear to be one of the best budget goggles.

You will need a receiver aswell ... these can easily be used with bigger quads to

Just wanted to say my thank you for this shopping list
Have built and played and continually laughed at how small it is.
The cam/vtx is awesome if a bit wide angled ,
still wondering if there';s a battery that';ll give more than 90secs aggressive flying -
Also have been on op / lp since I started so clean flight a whole new ball game for me , but will post my queries on that in the fc section.

Pull the tops off and replace with some plastic tube from rc plane snakes. Cut them to suite, works great.

M3 standoffs fit with a bit of a fettle and some glue

Bad Raven

I used 3D printed ends which fit over the existing so you can go back to unaltered state before I got the module.
