Upgrading to DJI Naza M Lite

Hi there i built a quad a while ago using the SK450 frame a Q Brain 4 in 1 ESC and the KK 2.1.5 board. I struggled to fly this and as a complete beginner i started to cause more damage than good. I am looking into purchasing the DJI Naza M Lite GPS kit and looking for advice on if this will work with my Q Brain 4 in 1 ESC and how many channels on a transmitter is required, i ask this because currently i only have a 4 channel transmitter.

Thank-you in advance for any help.

Your 4 channel tx is not going to work, it needs 6 minimum.
If you don';t want to spend too much the Turnigy/Flysky i6 is ideal - it punches way above its price!
There shouldn';t be a problem with your 4 in 1 esc but sometimes there can be a problem with calibration (occasionally it';s been known for magic smoke to escape). It';s always better to use individual esc';s because they are lighter and if one goes phut you';ve only got to replace the one.
TBH I think that you would really be better off trying updated firmware on your KK2.1.5 first - RC 911';s firmware absolutely transforms its flyability.

Hello,
I hear you being a beginner myself had the same issue, couldn';t fly the drone with my kk Board, tried an ApM board which was too much for me as a beginner. Shifted to DJI Naza M lite and am very happy, its very simple. Had first tried an F450 frame and then shifted to S500 and thats a great frame.

If you need any help with the Naza there will be a lot of help and they are very easy to handle.

I am using Fs i6 Transmitter andFs ia6b receiver, both work with Naza very well.

If you do go for the NAZA and happen to go for the FLYSKY transmitter FS i6, the firmware can be updated so that the factory firmware which handles 6 channels can handle 10 channel. So if you plan long term go for the transmitter FS i6 and go for the FS ia10b receiver.
