AIRCONROB

Cold anyone help me with what I need To adjust where my throttle is under half travel when I';m hovering in stability mode, and when I flick to AT Hold it shoots up aggressively.

Cheers

Rob

AIRCONROB

Setup is as follows,

1 X DJI F450 frame
1 X CRIUS AIO PRO board V2 2.8 R&D firmware Revision 3
1 X GPS
1 X Bluetooth conection
4 X HP2212-1000KV
4 X RCtimer Multicopter ESC 30A
1 X MAVLink-OSD
1 X ImmersionRC 5.8GHs RX
1 X Turnigy 2650 mah 4S
4 X  8X4.5 props

Gaza07

Hi Rob your throttle sounds about right if your hovering around mid stick or just before, do you have some foam covering the baro on your board as prop wash can send the baro funny, also bright light as in day light can affect the baro  ~~

AIRCONROB

Thanks for that Gaza07, To be totally honest, The throttle according to my radio telemetry is at 42% in hover. And no I haven';t put any foam on the baro. Do you think that will make the throttle range change by doing that?, I will try it now and see. Also does it make a difference if I';m using 8x4.5 props and running on 4S?

Cheers

AIRCONROB

Ok, so I';ve just been outside and it';s very calm, foam on the baro and still the same. And when I flick it ti AT Hold It oscillates a lot up and down,, What am I doing wrong?

Gaza07

Im not sure what the problem could be could you make a video for us to look at and see the problem it might help us to see whats going on  ~~

How is your P,I and D for the Alt Hold ?
Maybe if you lower the P a little it will stop jumping.

AIRCONROB

Hi all, I will still post the clips before I make any changes, But I have found a usefull link which looks interesting on setting up the PI D';s. It';s a bit long winded but It looks promising.

I';m assuming the clips didn';t help.  :waiting: Well back to the drawing board :hmm:

Gaza07

Sorry Rob the forum has been so busy its difficult to keep up with posts, looking at your video';s I dont see that much of a problem your copter seems quite stable to me the altitude hold isnt even that bad, are you comparing it to a Naza ? because the AIOP with any firmware is never going to be that good, It does sound like one of your motors is pulsing a bit but to be honest looking at your videos most AIOP owners would probably be quite pleased  ~~

Have a look at this video from Peter King, he explains about throttle trim on alt hold at about 16:55Crius AIO Pro Quadcopter getting started & Mission Planner
