My little project works, the S550 has automatic landing gear controlled by an arduino and an ultrasonic range finder.

Why use 4 motors when you can use 6?

Looking good to me, principal proven; fine tuning to do now - I think you might need more height for it to work just in case you come down fast and the retracts don';t activate quickly enough to be fully down.

A+ on the landing gear, D- on the camera work :)

Very cool.  ~~
I bet testing it over your carpet will make the ultrasonic detectors a lot less sensitive and accurate.  I am sure ultrasonic waves need a hard surface to bounce off.

Perhaps try testing it over some lino or a paving slab or outside over hard ground.

I really like that red flashing light/LED';s too, what is it/are they?

The flashing LED is the Naza status LED, it was flashing orange because I disconnected the FC.
