Homemade mobius gimbal

Well been looking at doing this for a while,

What im using

Mini Alexmos controller, GLB
Multistar 1807-340kv motors, HK
1.5mm thick Ally for frame,

It';s definitely a good start. Sounds/looks like it';s underpowered?

I will try more power later, but had it up to 165 at one point,

for anyone in the future, the Multistar motors have 12 wound stators and 14 moving magnets (poles)

I took mine apart  ::)

That might fix the whining, as if I remember correctly yours was set to 12 poles?

the software says count the magnets which is 14 and what I have it set too, have tried 12 and 16 and they were both the same,

will try the power later,

Well I have tried upping the power and tried lowering it but still it squeals

Think my board may be duff as there is zero change between high and low PWM,

Waiting for a reply from GLB anyway,

I tested mine out. Get no whine from the motors. The pitch motor got a little warm but I didnt really bother with any tuning at all. looks like it should work quite well once its all together on my quad.

Well it would seem like a board issue, awaiting a second reply after sending a photo of powered up board off

Balls to it I don';t care if they replace the gimbal controller as I just ordered a Storm32 32 bit BGC

Well spent a few hours trying to get the storm32 set up and it seems I cant get power to my pitch motor now and the controller wont go through the initialising,

getting frustrated with this whole gimbal idea,

I popped a storm32 board with my laptops bad usb port... Have you tried switching the motors? Maybe one of the motors has an issue.

swapped motors both work ok on the roll axis
