They are wide enough to allow you to keep your glasses on. so the screen is in perfect focus  ::)

How do they work?  Do they spilt the screen up for each eye or just use the lens to give the felling of a large screen?

The original idea for them is to use them for 3D films/games with a split screen on your phone/tablet, I';ve removed the central divider so you can view a 5" monitor in 2D
