Micro minimosd power recommendations.

So I';ve bought a micro minimosd and it states to use a separate ubec due to power constraints.

I';ve checked the BEC specs of my ESC';s and they produce 1A/5v should be enough right????

has anyone gone down the micro minimosd route? How did you hook it up to power and minimise line interference.

I';d use a separate UBEC to avoid interference from the ESCs and use a ferrite ring on the wire from the BEC to the OSD.

EDIT: If you';re using a FatShark VTX you can use the 5v feed off that to power it

Yep I';m using a fatshark 600TVL CMOS camera. So I should splice the 5v to both camera and OSD. Sweet!

Any recommendations for something good and small? I see the Turnigy one but it looks massive.

bought mine from hobbyrc and they provide you with a diagram for simple installation.

6 wires in total.
1x video out.
1x video in.
1x telemetry tx
1x telemetry rx
1x +5v (not esc BEC)
1x grnd.

It can do more but I want to walk first before I try to run.

I';m powering my  fatshark vtx with the balance board, using this wiring diagram, replace the battery with the 5v out from the balance board connector? or the 5v out from the transmitter? or would it be best to just go straight from the pdb? My brain is fried and can';t work out the most efficient use of the equipment I have

Just look on Google images there are a few diagrams showing you how to wire them

Just to tie this thread up.

I decided to power a fatshark filter and hobbywing low noise UBEC direct from my Lipo power distribution loom.
The Clean 12v from the fatshark filter powers only the video TX.
The UBEC provides a clean 5v for both OSD and Camera.
