hi

what it is best antennas for fpv?

thank you

Paul01

Im presuming you';re using 5.8ghz for FPV, in which case Gav';s Skew Planar antennas are said to be the best

These are 5.8ghz skew planars that will give you better range

Here';s a picture of the vtx antenna with the vrx

with 200mw receiver and transmitter what is range?

Paul01

Im sure someone on here with more experience and can answer that one for you.

Are you in the UK? as depending on country you might be able to use 1.2ghz which has better range

not

i live in portugal but i work in belgium

i think in 1.24ghz fpv but 5.8ghz radio is mutch expensive

Don';t think there';s such a thing as the best as it depends on what sort of flying you want to do.

If you are going for long distance stuff then its different from proximity flying or racing.

The skew planar (cloverleaf) type cover most eventualities but patch or helical may be a better option, but it depends on what you want to do.
Not much kit, but what I have I like

i don´t need to long distance

i need fpv to get more flight

because without fpv i don´t fly mutch longer

just need to some photos and videos and better control in fly

Paul01

I would highly recommend that you learn to fly line of sight before doing FPV, otherwise if your FPV goes down which does happen, you won';t be able to get your model back safely.

with 200mw 5.8ghz and some of Gav';s antennas you should easily get 500m maybe more, you would just need to do a range test for every different site you fly to be sure.

This site gives you the wire length for a particular frequency : http://flitetest.com/articles/Cloverleaf_Antenna

i have some control in my f450 without fpv

But a 10m alture sometimes i don';t see my quadcopter because of sun

i think with fpv i can get good fly in 10m or 20m and more control

But i will test with time

Thank you everyone

Paul01

You should always fly with the sun behind you

Friskle

Practice LOS first, then as said above, if video goes down, you can still actually fly it back.

NEVER fly with the sun at your front, and thats a rule of thumb for any RC aircraft.
