Ez osd problem

So I have my ez osd working fine when put away brought back out to put up for sale checked it and no power to vtx on a closer look the problem is the current sensor not powering the vtx if I power the vtx directly everything is ok and works as it should. On a closer look you can see the trace to the vtx positive pin is broken. looks as if it';s been blown is this fixable or is it just a case of no more powering the vtx from the osd as everything else is fine

You should be able to remove the lacquer from the top of the trace and bridge the gap with a bit of copper.  Ideally that bit of copper has the same dimensions as the trace, but anything thicker would work too, e.g. a piece of solid core wire.

That looks like a beefy trace.  It';s worth finding out what was able to melt that.  What did you have plugged into that power socket on the right hand side?

All I had plugged in was a 600mw immersionrc vtx I only use 3s so 12v max going through the osd all its life. It looks like the trace just goes strait from the + out. so that looks like to me what ever voltage you put in would go strait into the pin for the vtx. so let';s say I use a 6s that would put 26v into the vtx which makes me wonder was there something there to begin with to make sure it only puts through 12v to the vtx if that makes sense

Yup, makes sense.  Though I would expect some printing on the PCB if there was a component there.  It';s the current that melts the trace, not the voltage (to a degree).  The IRC 600mW';s power consumption is rated at 3W and it can handle up to 26V.  Perhaps if you provided a lower input voltage to power it the VTX drew too much current from the EZ OSD?

EDIT: Doesn';t lool like there was any component there.

I didn';t think there was anything there I didn';t notice any magic smoke its abit strange both the vtx and the osd still work as they should so I';m stumped Its up for sale now anyway and I';ve mentioned the problem so it';s up to the new owner if they would like to fix or just power vtx separately as the osd still works
