These ones are really bright and come in blue, red or green. http://www.banggood.com/LED-Decoration-Board-Strip-3S-For-QAV250-Quadcopter-p-951108.html also weigh nothing lol.

Heres a video with me following my mate, he had the green ones on and as you can see they were too bright for the mobius lol. The green and red ones have the best visibility, the blues don';t show up quite as well.

Hi all, first post here.

I';m looking at getting some Volo LED';s to replace the banggood ones I';ve got atm as they are meant to be twice the brightness containing 3 cree leds in a 2cm package, went to order them but postage from Australia was £25 for a few grams worth of LED!. Does anyone know any UK/European distributers or international ones that don';t charge an arm and a leg?

This the the review that made me want to get them https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTMwoJcdQL0

Cheers

LEDs generally draw a tiny amount from the battery.

Not this one though...

http://www.leds.co.uk/products/components/citizen_cob_leds#CLU054

150 watts.
That';s stupidly bright. :>

Unsure how to supply it with the required 55v DC though.
Perhaps this beast?  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10A-DC-DC-600W-10-60V-to-12-80V-Boost-Converter-Step-up-Module-Power-Supply-UK-/350975904870
It';s 200 grams though...

I have this idea that it would be fun to build a large quad with 4 of these 150watt LEDs facing down.
You could light up a huge area at night with that.  Could make for some very interesting and unique photos, as well as the general awesomeness..

Rather useful for search and rescue as well...

I started talking to customer service at the website that sells those 150 watt LEDs, and a very nice person called Katie is offering to send me some sample 150 watt LED';s for free!

I';ve emailed back with my address, along with a caution about the potential timescale involving in completing such a project.  Perhaps something will appear in the post. :>  If it does, I';ll make a new thread with pictures and hopefully I can figure out how to make it run off a lipo. :>  Without overheating it, or blinding myself...

Dougelove

Bought a few of these from this ebayer no probs. very bright but do need heatsink. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=291187146302

Got these on the car as DRL very bright too and don';t get too hot. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=301364649898

These on my tri and in toolbox and mounted in carboot  http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=171462356498

The last strobe ones I found best for LOS and orientation, better than static.
