Totally accept that I';ve jumped on the bandwagon, but thought I';d have a go with an old sheet of polystyrene I found in the loft.  No idea  if I can even make this thing fly, but thought I';d post up a few photos of how it';s coming along.  Enjoy :)

Doner is going to be 450 frame, DT750 motors running 10" props, 4S 5000mah and naza FC.

Thought I';d just try and velcro strap the thing together before I spend any more time on the build, just incase it didn';t even get off the ground...and this is the result:

Flight tested with the LEDs and some work on shaping the body. Started on scale work, but quite a bit more to do.

Quick update... spent a few hours working on markings and such, conflicting artwork on google, so don';t shoot me down. Also certain scale aspects have had to be left out as they aren';t practical if I want it to fly.

Coppers Lot

This is an old thread, so apologies for that but.....

I have seen a couple of these M.F. Home builds on the web and they all have large props.

I wonder if it would have been possible to use ducted fans and if so what that would have been like.

I am aware that some people have used stepped down ducted fans in quad copter builds.
Any body with more knowledge than I like to step in and talk about the possibilities please?
Old, in it for the fun, know nothing type of gezzer.
