T's Micro SoSx V2 Build Log

I came, I saw, I had to have. After seeing the Blade nano Qx FPV, I just had to get something similar, or build it. I decided on building it. In true T fashion, i got a bit carried away and a slow build has turned in to the parts are on their way. The parts are as follows

1 X SoSx V2 Carbon Fibre Frame (130mm) http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2246643
4 X Hubsan X4C 8.5mm Motors (From my X4C)

Costing it up, roughly £110 with out a tx. You can get that price down by £50 odd if you butcher a Hubsan X4C

I';ve got that vTX module ... range indoors is rather woeful - I can';t get it to go all the way across the house.

So I got all the bits together (apart from the fpv gear) and the build commenced.

First the frame

I ordered the full kit that consisted of 2 x 0.75mm carbon plates, another small useful plate for which I can';t think of the name right now but I know will be use at some point, a camera mount plate, 7 bobbins, motor mounts and screws.

Before starting on the frame, I thought I';d attach my tiny Lemon Rx to the AlienWii with a bit of double sided tape to keep things neat.

Onto the frame. There are a number of ways you can build the frame, last count I managed about 5 different ways. I chose to use the bobbins as landing gear.

And then attach the motors to the fc.

Everything went according to plan so I plugged in a battery, waited for some smoke... no smoke! Bound the rx and new TX and connected went on to play with the MultiWii GUI.

It was $6.50, or the price of a pint in real money. I figure I owe you a pint after lending me your EMAX flash card a few months back  Besides, might need another lend of it when I put together the inevitable mini hex in spring
