Going to have a go later. I take it doing the advanced can after getting it nice and cool helps. Will have to remember to do that too.

Just cannot get this to work.  Everything is installed OK, though there are compatibility issues that I can';t seem to resolve.  I have tried running as administrator.

The update hack loads and is activated, though when I start the lite assistant, I am not prompted to upgrade.  It says it';s the latest version in the update tab.

Drivers are installed.  The FC talks to the assistant OK.  I';ve set flight modes etc.

I';ve got exactly the same issue, any fix?

Sorted, I right clicked on the upgrade hack programme and set it to run in compatibility mode. Worked straight off the bat after that...!

Took the plunge and upgraded some months ago now with continued success...

Took an even bigger plunge a few weeks ago by adding a V2 PMU & DJI Ground Station system at great expense. (and hope that it would all work)

Can fully confirm that after 3 successful waypoint mission flights to date, all works perfectly and is solid as a rock.

Not attempted the new firmware upgrade yet, but look forward to hearing from others which may have done so. (likely that DJI have put a stop to the upgrade in the latest FW)

Happy to answer any questions on this

Hi
I';ve just bought a LITE system, the FC box has the 330R resistor fitted (a nice surface mount device although the leaded type shown in the photos works fine)  I';ve tried this FC on both LED';s (red and yellow labels) and both work fine

I did the upgrade to V2 v4.02 software, worked fine only issue was that the update window did not pop-up automatically, I clicked the update link and then it appeared.
I used WIN7 Professional SP1
Many thanks to the team that developed this procedure, clever work. I';ll be donating !

A couple of questions please if any body can help.
Now it';s upgraded to 4.02 it now offers an upgrade to 4.04 and another to 4.06  Is it OK to proceed with these updates or will the DJI server detect the mod from LITE and through a wobbly?
If anybody has done this please let me know if all is OK

DJI have cottoned on to this and any attempt to load anything above FW version 4.02 reads your serial number and locks your motors! A work around is being sought as we speak.

It is still safe however to upgrade to 4.02 as above. In any case, it';s pretty much risk free as you can always reset your Naza to Its original ';lite'; setting using the procedure described on the upgrade website. 👍🏻

Kind of related, I am looking to try out the Naza FC and looking to purchase a Lite and PMU (so I can and d a mini iOSD) and upgrade to 4.02.

Looking around, there are a number of sellers on eBay selling a Lite with PMU and LED unit for around £47.
Has anyone bought one of these and are they genuine DJI products ?

I ask as it seems quite cheap.

Thanks for your help.

Pakmoto

Yep!
They are fine, I got mine from Banggood, but a friend of mine got the £47 FC from fleabay, and they both flashed fine (once I found a PC that would deal with the software)

Cool isn';t it, lift off is much better I find. I';m flying a simple quad just as a simple camera platform so have not bothered adding any of the other accessories that it will now support, I';m just enjoying the better control it delivers.

Does anyone know what DJI think of all this or do they just accept that its a spin on oriental companies copying others products.

I upgraded my Naza Lite a while ago now but and flies perfect. Thinking about taking the plunge and getting the DJI Ground Station link.

My question is, instead of using a V2 PMU, will a CAN-HUB do the job? The reason I ask is that the PMU gives one more plug (which I will use for the ground station radio) but i may in the future buy the OSD module too and will need the second CAN plug.

Also my LHS has the CAN-HUB in stock and not the V2 PMU.

No, you need the V2 PMU to work the CAN Hub as the NAZA lite PMU doesnt have and expansion slot. If you want to add the OSD module and the Groundstation module, you will need both.

Thanks that confirms my suspicions. I think its a bit to pricey to do it all on the Naza tbh.. £40 for the PMU, £125 for the ground station link, if I want OSD too its another £40 for the CAN BUS and £40 for the OSD module. Actually thinking about moving across to APM to get all this..

Is the Naza Lite to Full Naza hack/upgrade still working ?

Anything to watch out for eg the new geo-fencing restrictions ?

Windows 10 didn';t work for me either, but I had recently installed a new hard drive before installed windows 10 on it , I put my old windows 2000 drive in and it worked fine. If you can get your hands on another machine or try a friends you will hopefully find one that works, I was told that you had to have x y z drivers installed but my 10 machine even after update wouldn';t work, but I know it has worked for others.
its something you only do once so you won';t have to have access to the PC that worked again, so long as you install the assistant V2 installed. its a bit of a black art I think, but well worth it.

To answer my own question the Upgrade does still work (using the 2.02 Installer and 4.02 firmware)

I initially tried it on both a Windows 10 and Windows 8 machine but couldn';t get them to recognise the Naza when plugged in.

Worked straight away on a Windows 7 machine (using the DJI Windows driver)
