Welcome to the forum.. looks like you have been doing some research..

Couple of points..

Your need to run 6S lipos on something that size.. max thrust on E600 motors is 1600g .. .. AUW recommended by DJI is around 6x600g= 3.6kg.. which isnt very much for a hex... you could probably push it to @5kg... on 4s it wont have enough power...  also props need to be bigger than those suppied..

Naza can control a 2 axis servo type gimbal directly.. but most people these days have moved to brushless gimbals..  which have their own controller...

To keep the weight down would not bother with retracts btw

Ecalc was for 3408 motors.. but E600 is def designed for 6S I am afraid..

Verification only for you first few posts..

Also, people may choose to ignore, But the Naza is not actually recommended for any frame larger than 650mm.

Naza will be fine.. have used it on a 950mm hex .. and it flew great..  just DJI didn';t recommend it.. strangely though they removed that caveat from the V2 Naza..

I think crack on.. but use 6s lipos with slightly larger props... a single 6S 5800mah is only £48.. and some bigger props wont break the bank.. that way you can lift a camera and gimbal.. and still have some resielience in the event of a motor or esc failure..

Looks very nice, obviously you';ve put a lot of thought into this.

How are you planning getting these bits fabricated?

I';ll make the bits myself. I';m a time served engineer and have my own machines.

That';s good then, there';s a fair bit of turning and parting in some of those pins/pivots.

Are you thinking Aluminium?

I prefer the xt60s tbh, but when soldering be careful As its really easy to move the pins inside from the plastic partially melting

I prefer the XT60 / XT90`s, when soldering them, just plug them together, as that helps keep them in position when soldering, make sure your Iron is perfectly ready, i find the XT connectors one of the easiest to solder up.

Sound advice there F.

Also, clamping both halves together in a mini vice acts as a huge heatsink, which was very useful on the Dean';s plugs (which I have eradicated from my fleet, replacing with XT 60';s).
Although XT60';s/90';s have provision for heat shrink tube to fit snugly inside the connectors, I now use a large piece of HS over the whole plug, it looks nicer, and provides better strain relief.   ~~

looking good ~~

but how are you going to put the bolt through? there';s no hole in the joining piece.
Why use 4 motors when you can use 6?
