Hello Gens-Tattu - Thank you for coming along and joining the forum.  I think you';ll get questions from some members here.

My opening question would be to ask you where are your LiPo batteries available from and what sizes do you manufacture?

Why should we choose gens ace over other brands?

Ross

Let's be careful out there.
SAFETY is.. NO accident.

when i have had equal or sometimes even better performance from cheaper batteries, after buying expensive and cheap, yep, ill stick with the cheaper ones.

Ok, so what determines the c rate in a lipo manufacture, and seemingly the higher cost?

i.e why not make them all 50c or whatever?  Are you using precious metals or something?
A question for Mr gensace.

I';ve had 4x gens ace 3S 2200 25C from Giant shark where one cell has gone down after not a great deal of use.  Always charged at 1C or less never over discharged.
I buy zippy compacts now because I lost confidence in them!

Started buying Zippy Compacts for the planes originally, a good test is the Wingmakers Handyman, you can tell straight away whether the battery is performing, so far, Turnigy batts are decent, zippy flightmax are great, but the Compacts, really do make a difference, they must have a really good discharge rate, for price, Compacts are hard to be beaten imho of course  ::)

I';ve read, what I believe to be, a lot of nonsense about lipos.

Leaving aside physical damage and shorting the terminals, under what circumstances can a lipo ignite and why?
A tricopter is the only prime numbered multirotor (I need to change this signature since watching one of the latest videos from Flite Test but can't think of anything intelligent (smart arse) to change it to right now).

Hello,

Very good question! ~~
Quliaty of raw material and manufacturing technology will determines the C rate. Especially the anode material. For example, smaller particles, better performance.

C rate is for discharging. Means the maximum safe continuous discharge rate of a battery pack.
For 10000mah 15C 6S1P, it should be okay to discharge it at anything up to 15 x 10 = 150 amps.

So use what C rate is determine by the current you need.

Hope this reply is helpful to you~~

Hello,

Actually lipo battery material is much more safe now, that some may puff, but few will ignite.

There is separation paper between anode and cathode. The reason why some battery ignite is, when separation paper damaged , anode material will meet cathode material, there is short circuit,  so battery may ignite when there is collision. So the quality of material and correct using way is very important.

Or to put simpler, it';s VERY rare for a Lipo to spontaneously combust.

In most cases a Lipo has to be damaged or overcharged or faulty to suddenly burst into flames, but,,it "can" happen.

You can easily puncture a Lipo and so long as it';s only in the cell covering, nothing will happen, it can be still used, still charged, not recommended, but it can go UN noticed...

Most batts that go up, have to be made go up, and even then, if not fully charged, the results are, well, disappointing.

If you really want to make sure your batteries are healthy check the internal resistance of each cell, and significant imbalance indicates that the high resistance cell is degrading.
I use one of these:

Ok, my question please: We are always hearing about this or that new battery technology which will let our devices run x times as long at the same or lower battery weight/size... What does Gens Ace have in the lab and when can I get a 5000mAh battery in a 100g package please?
