OSOLATION PROBLEMS

Well now it is starting to work right i am really enjoying this big time.
I have a hobby king turnigy 775mm hexacopter.

I fully charged the battery last night and im so eager to get out there and fly in the field behind my home
Sorry neighbours that its only 8am on a sunday morning.
But seeing as you are all up due to the noise of my blades why don';t you just take a seat and watch me fly.
Sorry crash with style.

Anyway i have a question.
I get it started and power up and hover a few inches off the floor and all seems fine and i slowly go up to about 2 to 3 feet
but as it starts to get  higher it starts to osolate getting faster and faster.
Its like a hola hoop dancer on speed.
and then its down.
All connections are tight and i have the self level on.
I found out how to turn this on from one of my last posts and what a god send it is.
So i just need help with the hola dancer and im good to go again please help me out.

Okay, if you have oscillations then you';re now in the world of PID tuning.  It isn';t as formidable as it sounds, nor as can be written about.   But if you';re just starting out then it all can sound a bit blah blah blah, the words not making much sense.

You cannot really copy someone else';s PID gains as each multi-rotor tends to have its own characteristics.  The defaults on the KK2 will typically get you in the air, but you may need to adjust if oscillations occur.

Here';s a couple of videos that may help get your head around these and give some idea of which to tweak and by how much.  Always make one change at a time, and then only small changes.  Just so you know what to dial back to should something make it worse!

And from the creator of the board itself.  I';m not suggesting you construct a rig like has done (for demo purposes), but hopefully it';ll help understand the effect of each setting you';ll be making changes to.

Thanks very much for all your help.:notworthy:   handsOn

I have watched both the video';s and have already
got the hang of what you are talking about and as soon as i have sorted the hula dancer out
i will slap my gopro 3 on the front, or i might get one of those bigger arms and slap it on the back
end and it wil give a better perspective of the rotor blades and the IMPENDING DOOM which is the ground below.

I love this sport already.
