Got a hold of the following controller.




Been trying to get it working without success! Tried to update the firmware without success!

Need Help!

Tried lots but it won';t play ball/.

gimbal controller  :lipsrsealed

looks like an AlexMos clone (or maybe a genuine one ? - who can tell !) as it has CP2102 uart chip

did you get the comport to appear on your pc ? if not, download drivers

Yes, the com port appears when I connect up.

I have tried to hook it up to

BruGi_049B_r161 and simplebgc_gui_2_2b2

In both cases, the port is shown. The red light comes on but that';s about it!

Looks like my old martinez v1.1 board, you say the com port appears but what number is it
mine would not talk unless it was on com port 3 or less.

I would flash it with Brugi

def not martinez board - they always used ftdi chips - not that it that really matters !

to check if the board has BruGi firmware, just use HyperTerminal (or similar) and connect to it (use settings as per your screenshot). The board will respond.

Well, it';s all good and well saying that the board will respond in Hyperterminal, but how n what am I looking for?

I';ve loaded it up and do not know where or what to do!

One of the reviewers says you can';t flash a new firmware via SimpleBGC and that it comes with a hacked AlexMos version.  Unfortunately, he doesn';t say if there';s another way to flash it.

not quite sure what you mean ?

if it';s responding in hyperterminal, then it';s BruGi that';s on it

as suggested previously, would try to reflash the firmware with a known version.
If you';re getting an error message from IDE when trying to flash BruGi, then check that the board type is correct (try Duemilanova)

as quadfather already said,
if you';re wanting to try AlexMos, then I think you';ll have to go for the older nulled version (2.1) and use a flash tool like Xloader.
I';ve found it doesn';t always work 1st time so keep tryin';

When you say responding, what do you mean? I plug it in and I get nothing! I managed to find a way to connect to Com3 where the gimbal is and it says connected and that';s it!

I can';t seem to get anything to talk to it!

Any other suggestions? If I am to try and flash the board, what software should I use?

I mean you should see something like this:

message INFO: BruGi ready
message VERSION: BruGi v50 r217

if you';re getting nothing then chances are it has AlexMos on it or there is a problem with the board

I';ve had several of them, and they work ok with the 2.2b2 fware.  If not, it';s probably bricked!

Hope you get it working!

P.S make sure the IMU is correctly connected, I had one with a dodgy plug on, had to re-plug it a few times, or you';ll get nothing!
