H3-3D (Naza Mv2) & Taranis X9D. Slowing/smoothing tilt. Possible??

Hi there.

As there is no way of adjusting the tilt gain/speed in Naza asst that I can see, (or have I missed it) I';ve been trying to do it with reverse expo on my Tx but not having any luck. i.e from full horizontal tilting down, or verticaly down tilting up.

I can see that the expo is applied in ';sticks menu'; on the Tx but on the servo monitor view it doesn';t seem to change the speed of the bar/or the gimbal tilt speed. Just stops it from moving for a while then suddenly catches up. This is presumably the Naza FC doing this.
I';ve also tried delay, but that does just that...not tilt speed.

Any ideas anyone? I';ve seen the YouTube video with this achieved on a Phantom but I don';t have this tilt gain control in Naza asst showing

Taranis is on curent up to date firmware 2.0.12. I have Ch5/tilt control mapped to Right slider. FC is Naza Mv2. Using S-bus link from Rx to FC.

Has anyone managed this, or got any tips please.

TIA
Mike

Hi
there is a manual tilt speed control in the Naza setup assistant on the gimbal tab.  It';s also a firmware thing, as far as I can tell.  I have the H3-2D, and early software was a little bit hit and miss for manual tilt, but they modified it a good while ago, so now full movement on the dial (-100 +100) equates to 90 degrees movement.  That works well for me, as I don';t need my gimbal pointing to the sky!

Hi,
I must be thick then, as I can see the gimbal speed & reset it to whatever I want, but it makes no difference to the Tx slider control for tilt speed.

Hopefully that makes sense i.e. the Tx tilt slider is still in direct control of movement, even if I set the value to 2 from 100 it makes no difference.

Even if I enable gimbal control it makes no diffence.

All software appears to be up to date as far as I can see. I';m on Win8.1 if that makes any difference
FC Ver 4.02
Gimbal GCU Ver. 1.8
Gimbal IMU Ver 1.0.0.6

Its almost as if either it';s not writing it to the FC properly, or maybe as it';s S-Bus it';s ignoring it, anyway any suggestions would be helpful as it';s really annoying me now ;)

Hi again,

In fact it doesn';t make any difference what value I change on the ginbal tab in Naza Asst I makes no difference??

The Gimbal Asst has nothing I can see either, other than a slider actually showing that the gimbal controller is getting the signal/moving the gimbal in real time, as below if that makes sense.

Is it a Windows 8.1 /Asst/USB issue perhaps??

Thanks
Mike

Ah, in that case I can';t help you.  It may well be different on the 3D, I';ve no way of knowing.  I';m certain you';re not the only 3D owner on this site, in fact I know Balders has one.  Maybe PM him?
